Pescadero Art

This art piece was made by Darlene and Selina. The hummingbird represents going through challenges and overcoming it all. The artwork shows Cesar Chavez and Dolores Huerta. They fought for Mexican rights, the farm worker movement, and organized laborers to earn a wage. Dolores Huerta & Cesar Chavez worked together for 30 years as leaders and environmentalists. Dolores eliminated harmful pesticides. Cesar forced employers to pay wagers and helped the first bill for agriculture workers.
